BJP retains Manipur, NPP to continue support

GUWAHATI: The political crisis in Manipur has come to an end with the decision of National People’s Party (NPP) to continue its support to BJP-led government in the state.

The decision has come after the meetings of NPP delegation led by Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma, Manipur deputy CM Y Joy Kumar Singh with home minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda in presence of Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in New Delhi.

Taking to Twitter Conrad Sangma writes, “A positive meeting took place between @JPNadda ji and @himantabiswa ji and the NPP delegation and we have decided to continue to work together in the interest of people of Manipur.

“A NPP delegation led by @SangmaConrad and Dy  Chief Minister of Manipur Sri Y Joy Kumar Singh met Honble President  of @BJP4India  Sri @JPNadda  ji today in New Delhi. NPP will continue to support BJP govt in Manipur for the development of Manipur,” tweeted Northeast Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convener Dr. Sarma.

“A NPP delegation led by @SangmaConrad and Dy  Chief Minister of Manipur Sri Y Joy Kumar Singh met Honble Home minister Sri  @AmitShah ji today in New Delhi. Both @BJP4India and NPP will continue to work together for the development of Manipur,” Sarma stated in another tweet.
