GUWAHATI, Jan 6: The death of BJP leader Kamal Dey, whose body was recovered at Pandu Shankar Nagar late last night after he was returning home in his Scooty, has become the subject of intense speculation. Although Dey, the Jalukbari Mandal BJP president, was believed to have been killed by miscreants, CCTV footage revealed his Scooty hit a speed-breaker at Shankar Nagar in Pandu locality of Guwahati at around 2:47 am while he was returning home.
Police have now said that he died following the accident although they are launching a detailed probe into the incident.
Dey was seen falling down on the road after he lost control of his two-wheeler and died as a result of injuries suffered in the accident.
