GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has clarified that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has no clash with Bodoland People’s Front (BPF).
Participating in the ‘Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ at Tamulpur Dr. Sarma said, “BPF is in our coalition. There is still time to discuss the government formation after the elections. But it is necessary for BJP to become stronger. BJP is needed in Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) for a change.”
Sarma stated that a government in BTC without BJP can’t ensure protection to every community of Bodoland Territorial Area District (BTAD).
“Personally I expect a very active and influential role of BJP in the next BTC government,” he added.
