Bihar Election Result: Major loss for JD(U), BJP leads in initial trends

PUBLISHED:

GUWAHATI: The initial trends of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 have surprised everyone. The exit polls had given a definite advantage to Mahagatbandhan (Grand Alliance). But trends till 11:00 AM show that the table is slowly turning in favour of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

So far, till the filing of this report party-wise trends were available for 226 seats of the total 243 seats on fray.

There is a clear indication that people of Bihar have not voted in favour of Nitish Kumar. The voters seemed to have preferred BJP in place of JD(U).

The BJP was leading in 62 seats with its coalition partner JD(U) trailing with 48 seats.

The Tejashwi Prasad Yadav led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) was leading in 49 seats, whereas its main coalition partner Congress was leading in 20 seats.
