Born Harikrishna Giri Goswami in Pakistan’s Abbottabad, Manoj Kumar passed away in Mumbai on Friday
GUWAHATI, April 6: Bollywood is mourning the demise of Manoj Kumar with superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra along with a host of other stars of the Indian film industry paying their last tributes to the veteran actor who passed away in Mumbai on Friday at the age of 87 years.
Bollywood celebrities Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Prem Chopra, Salim Khan, Zayed Khan and many other stars came together to pay their last respects to the veteran actor.
Big B took to his blog on Tumblr, as he shared a throwback picture of him and Manoj Kumar, and captioned it: “In remembrance .. and prayer in grief…”

Dharmendra also took to the social media to pay his last tributes to the veteran actor and shared a photograph from yesteryears of the two actors together.
Seen smiling and holding a trophy together, Dharmendra wrote: “Manoj, mere Yaar Tere saath beeta har pal bahut yaad ayega!!!”

Born Harikrishna Giri Goswami on July 24, 1937, in Abbottabad, Pakistan, Manoj Kumar starred in more than 50 movies, giving audiences unforgettable films like Kranti, Shaheed, and Roti Kapda Aur Makaan.
Meanwhile, a lot of Bollywood stars attended a prayer meeting organized by the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) in Mumbai today afternoon.
Manoj Kumar’s wife, Shashi Goswami, their two sons Kunal and Vishal Goswami, along with other family members, also attended the prayer meeting.
Bollywood personalities who attended Sunday’s prayer meeting paid their last respects to the veteran actor.
