GUWAHATI: Dr Bhaba Das Foundation of Guwahati in association with Sulakuchi Block Primary Health Centre organised a free vaccination camp at Ganesh Das High School on Monday.
As many as 200 people were given the first dose of vaccine at the camp today. A few others also received their second dose.
With the association of Assam health department, the foundation has aimed at vaccinating 10 thousand people in the state.
Attending the vaccination camp, Health City Hospital facility director Parag Jyoti Dutta said, “Vaccines help in resisting COVID-19, it does not cure the infection. So, we should maintain all the COVID-19 norms to remain safe.”
Dutta said free vaccination camps would be organised in other parts of the state to achieve Dr Bhaba Das Foundation’s target of inoculating 10 thousand people.
Sualkuchi Block Primary Health Centre medical officer Dr Dipak Das, social activists Sidananda Das, Kasturika Das also attended the vaccination camp today.
