GUWAHATI, Oct 17: India crashed out for their third lowest Test total and their lowest at home in the five-day format as Rohit Sharma & Co. were bundled out for just 46 runs in 31.2 overs against New Zealand on the second day of the first test of the series at Bengaluru.

The Indian batters could not offer any resistance to the fiery Kiwi pace attack with five key players — including Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Khan, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadega — returning to the pavilion without opening their account.
Only Rishabh Pant — who top-scored making 20 — and Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) could reach double figures. Skipper Rohit Sharma added 2 runs to the team total.
For the visitors, Matt Hendy took 5 for 15 while William O’Rourke scalped four. Veteran pacer Tim Southee picked up one wicket.
