BCCI announces 15-member squad for World Cup

BCCI Monday (April 15) announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC WorldCup 2019, leaving out dashing Delhi southpaw Rishabh Pant and Ambati Rayudu while retaining Dinesh Karthik as the second wicket-keeper. Virat Kohli will lead India in England while Rohit Sharma was named his deputy.

KL Rahul and Vijay Shankar were also included in the 15-member squad.

The World Cup will begin on May 30 with hosts England taking on South Africa in the first match at The Oval in London.

India will play their opening match against the Proteas at the Rose Bowl in Southampton on June 5.
