GUWAHATI, Dec 26: Barpeta Lok Sabha MP Phani Bhushan Choudhury was on Wednesday night rushed to the Health City Hospital where his health is presently been monitored by a seven-member team of specialist doctors led by Dr Sashanka Dutta.
He was admitted to the Intensive Critical Care Unit (ICCU) and his condition is stable, doctors said.
The veteran politician has been suffering from fever and cough, and was first admitted to a hospital in Bongaigaon. However, since his health did not improve, his family members decided to shift him to the Health City Hospital in Guwahati.
“He was admitted to the hospital at 12:40 am and is being looked after by a seven-member team of doctors led by Dr Sashanka Dutta. He is presently admitted to the ICCU and his health is stable. He has been advised to undergo a few tests. All his vital stats are normal,” the hospital stated.
