GUWAHATI: Among the 15 new COVID-19 positive cases in Guwahati, there is also a barber who used to carry out his works defying lockdown rules, revealed Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The barber did hair cutting near Rajkamal Hotel at Fancy Bazaar which has become the hotbed of COVID-19 positive cases in the city. Health minister Dr. Sarma said that the authorities will ensure contract tracing related to the barber.
On the other hand, a driver from Santipur area also tested COVID-119 positive. The driver is the resident of Ashram Road of Santipur.
On Wednesday, Assam has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 positive cases on a single day after the 15 persons who came into direct contact with Mangu Sahani tested COVID-19 positive. Sahani, a worker at a potato godown tested COVID-19 positive on Monday.
