Ban on Inter-District movement in Assam from July 22

Guwahati: In a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19 in Assam, the  Assam government has banned inter-district movement of vehicles in the State from July 22.

This comes in the backdrop of an increased number of positive cases in the state.

Assam Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna on Saturday announced at press meet that all inter-district movement will strictly barred with effect from  July 22 until further orders. For any kind of medical or last rite emergencies movement shall be allowed  only with writen permission  from the Deputy Commissioner  of the originating district.

However, movement of goods shall  continue uninterupted.
