Guwahati: Sahdev Dirdo, the kid who rose to popularity with the song ‘Bachpan ka Pyaar’, has been seriously injured in a road accident in Chhatisgarh’s Sukma district on Tuesday (December 28).
According to reports, Sahdev was on his way to his village on a motorcycle with his father when the accident occurred. He fell off the motorcycle and sustained injuries.
As per the report, Sahdev was admitted to a district hospital. After receiving first aid, he was shifted to Medical College in Jagdalpur and is currently undergoing treatment.
Reportedly, Sahdev has suffered head injuries and is critical.
Sukma Collector Vineet Nandanwar and Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma reached the district hospital to enquire after the Sahdev.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has extended help in the matter.
“Expressing grief over the news of the accident of Sahdev Dirdo, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has directed Collector Shri Vineet Nandanwar, Sukma District to provide best medical aid at the earliest”, CMO Chhattisgarh tweeted.
Sahdev rose to fame after a video of him singing ‘Bachpan Ka Pyaar’ went viral earlier this year. The video was shot two years back by his teacher. It was shared by singers Aastha Gill, Badhash, comedian Bharti Singh, and many others and recreated in different forms by other celebrities.
He has also performed in the revamped version of Bachpan Ka Pyaar with Badshah and Astha Gill.
Earlier this year, Sahdev was also felicitated by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
