Auraiya Murder Case: Woman Hires Killer with ‘Shagun’ Money to Murder Husband, 15 Days After Wedding

Auraiya Murder Case: A shocking murder case has come to light in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, where a newlywed woman, Pragati Yadav, along with her lover, planned the killing of her husband, Dilip Yadav. The crime happened just 15 days after their wedding. Pragati allegedly used Rs 2 lakh from the “shagun” cash received during the wedding to hire a contract killer, Ramji Chaudhary.

Auraiya Murder Case: Woman and Lover Plan Murder, Hired Killer for Rs 2 Lakh

According to police, Pragati Yadav, 22, and her lover, Anurag Alias Manoj, hatched a plan to get rid of Dilip Yadav. They contacted Ramji Chaudhary and paid him Rs 2 lakh to commit the murder. On March 19, Dilip was found injured in a field. Locals alerted the police, and he was taken to a nearby health centre in Bidhuna.

As his condition worsened, he was shifted to Saifai Hospital, then to Gwalior, and later to Agra. Despite the medical efforts, Dilip Yadav died on the night of March 21.

Police Arrest Three Accused Using CCTV Footage

The Auraiya police investigated the case using CCTV footage, which helped them identify the three accused. Superintendent of Police Abhijith R Shankar confirmed their arrest. All three – Pragati Yadav, Anurag Alias Manoj, and Ramji Chaudhary – have been taken into custody and are being questioned.

This case comes just days after another horrifying incident in Meerut, where a woman and her lover killed her husband, chopped his body, and hid it in a cement-filled drum. These cases have raised concerns about rising crime in Uttar Pradesh and the increasing involvement of family members in brutal murders.

Police Investigation and Legal Action

The police are now gathering further evidence in the case and will file a charge sheet soon. The authorities have also warned the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to prevent such heinous crimes in the future.
