Attack on Zubeen Garg: Four accused get bail

GUWAHATI: Four accused in Zubeen Garg attack case have been granted bail by a court in Guwahati on Monday.

The court of Kamrup chief judicial magistrate (CJM) granted bail to National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) leaders—Arupjyoti Talukdar, Hirakjyoti Rajbongshi, Dishan Bhagawati and Gitartha Deka. They have been asked to pay Rs. 10 thousand each to secure the bail and appear before Dispur Police Station.

The popular singer was allegedly abused by a group of youths on August 12 night.

Zubeen in his FIR said six youths stopped him at around 12.40 AM in the Ganesh Mandir area while he was on his way home. The six of them came out of a car, beer bottles in hand and abused the singer. Later, Garg filed FIR at Dispur Police Station.
