GUWAHATI: Premier Cryogenics at Saukuchi has resumed one of its unit with a capacity of producing 14 metric tones. With this Assam’s Oxygen capacity has gone up to 84.5 metric tones.
It may be noted, visiting Premier Cryogenics at Saukuchi on May 1, chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma requested the company to resume oxygen production.
On Monday Dr Sarma visited the unit which has become operational.
“ASSAM’S OXYGEN CAPACITY GOES UP TO 84.5 MT On May 1, I had visited #Oxygen unit Premier Cryogenics in Saukuchi, Ghy, to request that production be resumed in this shut down co. Glad that one unit is functional now & producing 14 MT. I visited them again today,” CM Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.

Dr Sarma said operation of the second unit of Premier Cryogenics will further help the state in fighting COVID.
