Assam’s COVID-19 positive boy appears in B.Com final exam from hospital

GUWAHATI: An undergraduate student from Hailakndi in southern Assam who had tested positive for COVID-19 appeared in his final examination for Bachelor in Commerce (B.Com) from the hospital.

Mimu Roy, a 6th semester student of B.Com at S.S College was admitted to the Santosh Kumar Roy Civil Hospital after he had tested positive on October 1. The district and hospital authorities made all the arrangements for the student to appear in his B.Com final exam from the isolation centre itself. With the help of the authorities, the boy appeared in the online exam.

“Mimu Roy, a 25-year-old boy tested positive on October 1. He was admitted to the Hailakandi Civil Hospital. When we came to know about his exam, we arranged a set-up for the online exam,” said a health department official.

“It was English exam and I appeared online from the hospital,” said Mimu.
