GUWAHATI: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam reached 98,807 with the addittion of fresh 2036 cases reported on Thursday.
“2036 #COVID cases detected today out of 35395 tests done in last 24 hours
Positivity Rate- 5.75%,” Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.
On the other hand, 2,345 patients were discharged on Thursday after their recovery. So far, total 79,307 patients recovered from the infection. There are 19,219 active cases in the state.
Meanwhile, four COVID-19 patients succumbed to the infection on Thursday.
“Sad to share the demise of four #COVID patients today~ Late Saraswati Nath (56) of Baksa; Late Arabinda Medhi (65) of Dibrugarh; Late Hasan Ali (59) of Darrang and Late Dhaneswar Talukdar (46) of Kamrup (M),” minister Sarma tweeted.
