GUWAHATI: With the addition of 1348 fresh COVID-19 positive cases, the COVID-19 tally in Assam has mounted to 36,295. The new positive cases have been found among the 18,941 tests conducted on Wednesday.
“The positivity rate is at a low of 7.11%,” health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated in his tweet.
Kamrup (Metro) and Kamrup districts reported 348 and 127 cases respectively. Nearly 3500 tests were carried out in kamrup (Metro) district on Wednesday.
On the other hand, 1214 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from different hospitals and COVID care centres in Assam. While, 27,832 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the infection, there are 8,368 active cases in the state as of now.
“Happy to share that our recovery rate is 76.77%~ purely a result of dedication & selfless service of our doctors,” Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.
