Assam’s cleanest village Rangsapara open for tourists

GUWAHATI: Rangsapara, the cleanest village in Assam in the year 2016-17 has been opened for tourists from today. The village which is a thriving tourist destination in Goalpara district was closed for the visitors due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The villagers have made wearing of masks mandatory for the tourists to enter the village.

“Now tourists can come to our village. But they should wear mask. Otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the village,” said village head of Rangsapara.

The village head informed News Live that social distancing would be strictly maintained to avoid COVID-19 infection.

Rangsapara, around 16 KM away bfrom Goalapara town was declared cleanest village in Assam by public health engineering department.
