Assam: Tiger Attacks Minor In Darrang

Guwahati: A Royal Bengal tiger attacked a 14-year-old minor boy in Assam’s Darrang district on Sunday.

According to reports, the event occurred Dalgaon area as the minor child went to the fields for his regular work, where suddenly the tiger attacked and left him grievously injured.

The injured youth has been identified as Imran Farhad. 

Farhad who has been severely injured during the attack has been shifted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

The tiger on the other hand is currently inside the forest areas of the region and the forest department is trying to track down the big cat. Once the tiger is tracked, the department will take initiative to rehabilitate the animal.

The injured person is being treated and is in a stable condition.

As of now, no further reports of any more injuries are reported.
