GUWAHATI: Sonitpur deputy commissioner (DC) Manvendra Pratap Singh has tested negative for COVID-19. The family members of Singh, security personnel including escort party personnel have also tested negative.
As per protocol, their swabs were collected on Thursday after two employees at DC Bungalow tested positive for COVID-19 after coming in contact with another COVID-19 positive patient.
“This piece of good news bolsters the Sonitpur district administration’s fight against COVID-19. The earnest cooperation of the people of Sonitpur in this regard is highly solicited,” deputy commissioner, Sonitpur posted on Facebook.
