GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today visited Sonapur Civil Hospital which is being upgraded to a fully-equipped Covid hospital.
The hospital will be equipped with 150 beds and 16 ICU beds.
“We are upgrading Sonapur Civil Hospital to a fully-equipped #COVID hospital with 150 beds and 16 ICU beds. Work is being personally supervised by MOS @pijush_hazarika,” said Himanta Biswa Sarma in a Tweet.

During his visit to the hospital, minister Sarma interacted with the doctors, nurses and the staff. He was accompanied by minister of state for health and family welfare department Pijush Hazarika.
