GUWAHATI: Ahead of the Assam assembly polls in 2021, many popular figures from cultural arena have started to join the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). After the joining of Vidya Sagar, Asha Bordoloi and return of actor Jatin Bora to the BJP, singer Simanta Shekhar and flutist of international repute Dipak Sarma are set to join the saffron party on Tuesday.
The duo will start their political careers with BJP on Tuesday. It needs to be mentioned that BJP has already got several popular artistes of Assam as the active workers of the party.
