Guwahati: Assam on Tuesday recorded 4475 new COVID-19 cases out of the total 55,003 tests done in the State. The positivity rate for the day was 8.14 percent. Out of the new cases, 1417 cases are from the Kamrup Metropolitan district.
On the other hand, 41 persons succumbed to the infection on Thursday.
Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took to his Twitter and wrote, “Summary of 04/5/2021 Today’s Total 4475 Overall Positivity Percentage (4475 cases out of 55003 test done = 8.14%) Kamrup(M) 1417 Death 41 Recovery Rate 88.49”
