Guwahati: Assam on Thursday recorded 3,079 new COVID-19 cases out of the total 67,278 tests done in the State. The positivity rate for the day was 4.58per cent. Out of the new cases, 1029 cases are from Kamrup Metropolitan district.
On the other hand, 26 persons succumbed to the infection on Thursday.
Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took to his Twitter and wrote, “Summary of 29/4/2021 Today’s Total 3079 Overall Positivity Percentage (3079 cases out of 67278 test done = 4.58%) Kamrup(M) 1029 Death 26 Recovery Rate 90%”
