GUWAHATI: Assam on Tuesday recorded 2,579 new COVID-19 cases. The tally in the state now stands at 1,30,823.
Health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 2579 #COVID cases detected today out of 34462 tests done in last 24 hours Positivity Rate- 7.48% Kamrup M- 729; Dibrugarh- 160; Jorhat-146; Dhemaji- 110”
On the other hand, 2,166 patients have been discharged from different hospitals and COVID-19 care centres in the state. So far, 1,01239 patients have recovered from the infection.
Meanwhile, 8 more people succumbed to the infection on Tuesday.
