Assam: Range Officer caught red-handed taking Rs 25,000 bribe in Sapatgram, arrested

GUWAHATI, Aug 23: Another corrupt government official feel into the trap of Assam Police’s Vigilance & Anti-Corruption department with sleuths arresting Bablu Dey, the Range officer of Sapatgram under Dhubri Forest Division, from his office campus.

The Range officer was arrested after he accepted a bribe for not disturbing the complainant in running his legal Sand Mahal, Vigilance & Anti-Corruption department of Assam Police stated in a tweet.

The corrupt Range had reportedly demanded Rs 25,000 from the complainant following which a trap was laid and the officer arrested.
