GUWAHATI: Assam Police is going to announce rewards on former deputy inspector general of police (DIG) Prasanta Kumar Dutta and BJP leader Diban Deka, two prime accused in the sub-inspector (SI)recruitment scam. The duo is on run since the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Crime Branch swung into action two nab the culprits in the question paper leak case.
Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, director general of police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said that Assam Police would announce rewards on both of the accused.
“We are going to announce a reward on both of them. They are important fugitives. We request the people to help us in locating them,” said Mahanta.
On the other hand, additional director general of police (ADGP) for law and order GP Singh urged the citizens to provide any information related to the case. He promised that adequate security would be provided to the persons who share the information.
