GUWAHATI: Assam Police has requested the citizens to report violations of lockdown in Guwahati which has been re-imposed to contain COVID-19 pandemic. Police has shared WhatsApp helpline numbers where citizens can report any kind of violation of lockdown norms in the city.
The numbers are— 6026900970, 6026900971, 6026900972 and 6026900973.
The citizens can also tweet to @assampolice @GuwahatiPol and @GhtyTrafficPol to report violations.
Guwahati has been placed under 14-day-lockdown from June 28 to July 12 as the city has been witnessing a surge of COVID-19 cases, particularly with no travel history. Assam Police and other government authorities have left no stone unturned to enforce total lockdown to its letter and spirit.
