GUWAHATI: On Saturday, at around 01:00 AM while acting on a tip-off, Udalguri Police recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunitions that were buried in a forest at 1 number Goroibari village under Udalguri district of Assam.
The Assam Police team recovered one AK 56 rifle, 16 live cartridges, 8 empty cartridges, one magazine, one handmade pistol, 5 live ammo of .32 pistol, 6 ammo of 9mm pistol and one chinese grenade.
Police have not yet arrested anyone regarding the incident. Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Udalguri Police Station and investigation is underway.
