Goalpara: Continuing its crackdown on inter-state drugs gangs, the Assam Police on Friday recovered cash Rs. 19 lakh and fifty thousand Yaba tablets hidden in two vehicles. This was stated by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma through his Twitter handle.
The Assam Police laid a trap and recovered the banned substances and cash from two Mahindra Bolero vehicles. Four persons transporting the consignment have been arrested by the police team.
In recent days, following the strict instructions of the chief minister the Assam Police has waged a war against drugs and people involved in the banned substances trade.
In yet another crackdown on an inter-state drugs gang, @assampolice has nabbed 4 persons carrying a consignment of 50K Yaba Tablets, Rs 19 Lakh cash, hidden in 2 Bolero vehicles.
