GUWAHATI: An Assam Police officer reportedly died of stroke in southern Assam’s Karimganj district. According to Barak Bulletin, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Shyamaprasad Chakraborty who was posted at 15th Assam Police (IR) Battalion Headquarters in Eraligool was found dead on Sunday morning in his official residence.
“He died due to stroke during his sleep” said Karimganj superintendent of police (SP) Mayank Kumar.
According to reports, DSP Chakraborty was living alone in his official residence. His colleagues found dead him in his residence in the morning.
The untimely demise of the police officer has saddened his fraternity.
