GUWAHATI: Assam Police has started the recruitment process for the posts of constables in armed and unarmed branches. Total 4.13 lakh candidates have applied for 6,662 posts. While 2391 constables will be recruited for the unarmed branch, 4271 personnel will be recruited in the armed branch.

Physical tests in Kamrup (Metro) and Kamrup districts will be held from August 24 maintaining COVID-19 protocols. On the other hand, physical tests for 15 districts will start from September 8.
