The Assam Police has arrested one Sahil Abbas from Jammu and Kashmir for making derogatory, dirty comments on martyr Sunil Kalita’s wife. CRPF Cobra Commando Kalita had succumbed to his injuries from an IED attack by Maoists.
Sahil Abbas had made the comments on Facebook when the wife of martyr Sunil Kalita gave her final salute to the braveheart.
An FIR was lodged at Kamalpur Police Station and on the instruction of Kamrup SP, Partha Sarathi Mahanta, a three-member team was sent to Jammu and Kashmir to apprehend Sahil Abbas.
With the help of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Kamrup Police team finally managed to get hold of Abbas who was being protected by the locals. He has been been brought to Assam.
