GUWAHATI: The Azara Police on Tuesday evening arrested three Irani group members from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI Airport), Guwahati. As per reports, the three accused arrived on an Air Asia flight from New Delhi.
They have been identified as Junaid Khan(26), Salim Khan(31) and Samsad Khan (27), residents of Haryana.
According to Pradip Kalita, Officer In-charge, Azara Police Station, acting on a tip-off, ACP Pranjal Bora of Crime Branch arrested the three at around 09:00 PM from the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati.
Assam Police seized Rs. 91,720 in cash, 130 ATM cards of different banks, 14 cough syrup bottles, 4 mobile phones and a diary containing bank and ATM details from their possession.
Meanwhile, the three accused have been taken to Azara Police Station for questioning.
