GUWAHATI: A man was reportedly shot dead in Hojai district in Assam amid COVID-19 lockdown. According to reports, the man identified as Saifuddin was a timber trader. The body of the victim was found at Dakshin Laskarpathar in Hojai area. Three bicycles were also recovered near the body.
Saifuddin was allegedly involved in the illegal logging at Moinapur reserve forest. The incident has created sensation among the local residents of Hojai area.
