Guwahati: Assam Minister Health & Family Welfare Keshab Mahanta on Sunday stated that the Assam government will not issue a new standard operating procedure (SOP) for the upcoming celebration of Saraswati Puja.
The minister further stated that all the educational institutions can organize and celebrate Saraswati Puja in the state without any severe restrictions.
The new SOP, which is supposed to be released in February, will not include any special mention for the upcoming Saraswati Puja.
Moreover, Keshab Mahanta also asked the people of the state and the organizers of the Saraswati Puja to follow the mandatory Covid-19 protocols and guidelines issued earlier.
