GUWAHATI: The Assam Government is mulling over to introduce new COVID-19 protocls for the incoming passengers. However, the protocls would come into effect from November1. Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that a person needs not to undergone COVID-19 test, if he/she does the test within 48 hours prior to arrival.
“That order will be issued only with effect from November 1. We have not issued this right now. Because, we want to observe the situation post-Durga Puja,” Sarma said.
He also stated that the results of the RT-PCR tests should be available on the ICMR portal.
