GUWAHATI: Addressing an election rally at Bihpuria, senior BJP leader and Assam finance minister Dr. Himanta Bisa Sarma said Assam needs only engineering and medical colleges, not any Madrasa.
“Badruddin Ajmal has been saying that they would reopen the Madrasas in their first cabinet. People in Assam need medical, engineering college, not Madrasas,” said Sarma targeting Congress and AIUDF.
The minister stated that people will reject Congress and AIUDF with hatred in this election.
“Congress ruled Assam for 15 years. They took schemes to distribute dhotis and lungis. But we focus on education,” he added.
