GUWAHATI: One person died and one was seriously injured in a road accident that took place in Chagolia area of Golakganj, Dhubri on Monday night.
The accident took place after the motorcycle they were riding hit a roadside electric pole.
As per reports, the duo was returning home after attending a marriage party. They have been identified as Sourav Rai and Mithun Rai residents of 2 number Doldoba under Kajigaon Police Station.
Sourav Rai died on the spot and Mithun Rai was seriously injured in the accident.
The locals rushed the injured to a nearby hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
