Assam Minister distributes Arunodoi consent forms

Assam Minister of PHED, SEED, and Tourism Department, Jayanta Mallabaruah today announced the Central Transfer of Rehabilitation Grants through DBT and provided cheques to some of the beneficiaries ceremonially and distributed the Arunodoi consent form to some of the officials.

Notably, the minister arrived at Silchar Gandhi Bhawan and flagged off 800 volunteers from NSS and NCC at Gandhi Bhawan.

After the program Minister Jayanta Mallah Baruah while speaking to Northeast Live exclusively said that this month will be observed as an Arunodoi month.

Jayanta also informed that in order to verify the total list of the Arunudoi family around 800 NSS and NCC volunteers have been deployed for the survey. Jayanta also stated that around 1 lakh 15 thousand families will be benefited from the Arunodoi scheme.

Moreover, a total amount of Rs 40 crores have been disbursed today among 82000 families of the flood victims under the Central Transfer Rehabilitation grant through DBT in Cachar.

Notably, the amount has been credited directly to the beneficiary’s account.

It may be mentioned that MP Dr Rajdeep Roy, DC of Cachar Rohan Kumar Jha, MLA of Silchar Dipayan Chakraborty, MLA of Lakhipur Kaushik Rai, MLA of Udharband Mihir Kanti Shome, and some other dignitaries also attended the program.
