GUWAHATI: Assam Police on Friday arrested a home guard for running drug trade at Hajo in Kamrup district. The home guard has been identified as Riyajul Haque. He was running the illegal trade of drug in various places of Hajo.
Police also seized a vehicle from Riyajul. His two other associates—Rabijul Ali and Mustakin Hussain were also arrested.
“We checked an EON car at Baruabari near Kalitakuchi at around 2PM. We had specific information. We arrested three drug peddlers and recovered suspected heroin,” said a police official.
