GUWAHATI: Doctors, nurses and health workers in Assam who got infected with COVID-19 in the line of duty came forward to donate plasma at a programme at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Monday.
The frontline workers who turned donors are from different parts of Assam. They include doctors, nurses, paramedics, technicians, ambulance drivers , ward boys and hospital cleaners.
Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded the health workers and felicitated them.
“Driven by the tenacity & dedication of our healthworkers, #Assam has been performing well in its battle against pandemic. Today, they made us proud again by donating their #plasma for the treatment of patients,” Dr.Sarma tweeted.
