Assam: Kamrup-Metro schools directed to postpone exams during Ambubachi Mela


A directive has been issued for schools in Kamrup-Metro district of Assam, asking them to reschedule any exams during the period of Ambubachi Mela.

The directive was issued by Dipika Choudhury, the inspector of schools cum district mission coordinator of SSA, Kamrup-Metro.

The directive, based on instructions from the district commissioner of Kamrup-Metro in Assam.

According to the directive, the schools in Kamrup-Metro district of Assam have been asked to not hold any examination from June 22 to 26.

School authorities have been instructed to take immediate steps to ensure compliance with this directive.

Any exams already scheduled during these dates are to be rescheduled to avoid inconvenience to students, the directive stated.

The decision aims to accommodate the anticipated heavy influx of devotees expected to visit Guwahati in Assam, from various parts of India for the Ambubachi Mela.
