Assam Govt to take early decision on opening schools, fee and salary of teachers

GUWAHATI: Amid lockdown and COVID19 crisis, speculations are amok over opening the educational institutes and payment of school fee and salary of teachers and other employees. Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that decisions on these issues will be taken soon.

After attending state cabinet meeting, minister Sarma said that the education department of the Assam Government will soon issue directives on the opening of schools, payment of fee and salary of private school teachers.

The Assam government on March 15 ordered shutting down of educational institutions including schools, colleges and universities, gymnasiums, swimming pools and cinema halls in the state.
