GUWAHATI: The Assam Government will provide financial assistance to the cancer, kidney and heart patients from Assam stranded outside the state amid 21-day nationwide lockdown. The decision has been announced by Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday.
To avail the benefit, the patients will have to first call to a number—03612558955. They will have to report about their problem over phone to this number. After that, the patients will send their bank account details including bank account number, IFSC code to a Whatsapp number—6901281862.
Minister Sarma also stated that around 150 patients have taken shelter at Assam Bhawan in Mumbai.
