Assam Govt to fill up vacancies in Grade III, IV

PUBLISHED:

The Assam Government has decided to fill the vacant posts where candidates selected in the examinations for Grade III and Grade IV did not join.

The decision was taken during a weekly cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday (June 24).

“To fill the posts where candidates slected in the examination for Grade III and Grade IV posts did not join, other candidates who were not selected but secured same cut-off marks in the respective lowest Grade Pay category in the recruitment examination to be appointed,” CM Sarma said in a tweet after the cabinet meeting.

“This will ensure maximum possible vacancies are filled up with candidates who have already appeared in the recruitment process and obtained the same cut-off marks,” CM Sarma added.

The Chief Minister further added that the numbers of posts to be filled up in this category will depend upon the vacancies communicated by the respective administration departments.

The results of Assam Government’s Grade III and Grade IV recruitments examinations were declared on May 3 and 4 respectively and the appointment letters were distributed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on May 26.
