Assam Govt to fill up 50 thousand vacant posts

GUWAHATI: Though Assam has been battling with COVID-19 crisis, the Assam Government is set to fill up 50 thousand posts in various departments of the state. Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma clarified that the financial health of the state is still stable despite being hit by the lockdown.

Minister Sarma informed editors and senior journalists after a meeting at Assam Administrative College on Saturday that the state government will continue recruitment process to different posts of the state government’s departments. He revealed that finance department has already instructed to publish advertisements for the vacant posts. The results for 452 posts of the health department have already been announced. Minister Sarma stated that the health department will soon publish the advertisement for one thousand posts.

Minister Sarma also shared information that the currently the Assam Government has Rs. 4900 crore. At such situation, there is no possibility of the salary cut of the Assam Government’s employees. The employees will get full salary in June like April and May, informed minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
