GUWAHATI: All the private schools in Assam have been asked not to increase school fees till the COVID-19 pandemic is over in the state. The secondary education department of Assam has ordered for 50 per cent fee concession for the students studying in these schools in any class from pre-primary to class XII during the lockdown period with effect from April 1.
The order also stated that during the present pandemic there cannot be any increase in the school fees.
On the other hand, the secondary education department has ordered that there cannot be any curtailment in salary of teaching and non-teaching staff.
