GUWAHATI: The Assam Government will pay full salary to all the state government employees for the month of April despite the economy is being hit by COVID-19 lockdown . Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma clarified that the state government is not resorting for salary cut of its employees.
“Though many state governments have resorted to salary cut of their employees, we are not going for salary cut of our employees. We will pay full salary in the month of May,” said Dr. Sarma.
